Advisory Statement on 6351-T6 Cylinders

ECD will not fill, inspect, nor clean for oxygen service, any cylinder made from 6351-T6 alloy.

Why do we go to such great lengths to produce Hyper pure?

Read this article.

Any cylinder that ECD fills receives polished hyper pure air (OCA). We not only fill our NITROX cylinders with hyper pure, but every cylinder! ECD uses an Airetex Alkin compressor to bank our breathing air, but prior to hitting our fill station, our breathing air supply is polished to oxygen compatible "hyper pure" breathing air by an Airetex/Lawrence Factor appliance. Click here to see the system. ECD believes in the production of quality hyper pure air by design, not by accident. Costly, but worth every penny, we employ not only a standard Alkin Tri-Chem purification tower with Lawrence Factor filter, but the Lawrence Factor appliance to ensure consistent results.

Attention paint ballers, yes we'll fill your cylinders, although I'd rather teach you to dive with our highly polished breathing air.

Hyper Pure Air (OCA)

Many in the dive industry, take the "least restrictive" approach when it comes to filling NITROX cylinders. Industry standard has in some venues slipped into a more liberal approach to filling NITROX cylinders and state that pre-mix in "fine" for a cylinder not cleaned for oxygen service, however the CGA and Technical Diving International go with the more conservative approach and so shall ECD. We will only put NITROX (23.5% oxygen content or higher) into a vessel that has been cleaned for oxygen service.
