“You dive into the water and in an instant you are in a
different world. Stress, noise and the hustle and bustle of everyday life
suddenly seem far away. You become one with the silent world and are acutely
aware of your senses.
I started diving in 2001 with my main goal of being a
dive and rescue team member. As the years progressed and the more I learned, the
more I became fascinated with everything that went into being a diver. Not only
could I explore the depths of the ocean, but also I had the opportunity to be an
archeologist finding long lost history, an oceanographer, a treasure hunter and
an Emergency Dive Rescuer.
I joined with East Coast Divers in May of 2009, and have
found not only a great group of people to dive with, but a family. If you have
ever looked for a chance to step out of the ordinary, come join us and see if
you are up to the challenge of living out of the normal far beneath the sea.”
