Non-Diver Courses

If your planning a cruise or a trip to any resort in the tropics; your sure to find snorkeling and skin diving opportunities. Learn proper technique by enrolling in a snorkeling or skin diving course. This is a golden opportunity to get your fins wet without all that SCUBA gear and this will give you a leg up if you choose to progress to SCUBA.

Snorkeling       See the snorkeling page!

YMCA Snorkeling introduces individuals and families to the recreation of examining underwater magic from above. Because there is no age requirement for snorkeling, it is an activity that can be shared by the whole family.

$50/Student (includes pool session)

Ask about having your non-diving family member or friend participate in session #2 of the YSCUBA Open Water Course which covers this material. Discounts Available!

Skin Diving

YMCA Skin Diving is designed for swimmers and snorkelers who want to expand their aquatic exploration. With simple equipment and basic techniques, swimmers ages eight and older will find this course enjoyable and challenging. The underwater world is a fascinating place that can be discovered with a minimal amount of effort and the use of a mask, fins, and a snorkel.

$75/Student (includes text and pools session)

BLS for Non-Divers

You don't need to be a diver to render first aid or give your diving significant other some surface support; enrolling in some basic BLS courses will prepare you to be a part of the fun and an integral part of our safety plan.
